Four Foot Lodge is a Pet Holiday Centre in the tranquil and rural setting of the Motueka Valley, along the beautiful Motueka River.

Four Foot Lodge is situated only 10 minutes from Motueka, only 45 minutes from Nelson & Nelson Airport and only 20 minutes from the Abel Tasman National Park, Marahau and Kaiteriteri.
It takes an hour to get to Golden Bay, Takaka and Farewell Spit. And we can almost see Mt. Arthur in our backyard.

At Four Foot Lodge we try to create a holiday atmosphere for the animals on our 6 ha. life-style block with spacious exercise gardens, lovely trees and a beautiful river across the road.

Four Foot Lodge is a year-round business catering for 35 dogs and 12 cats. We primarily cater for dogs and cats, but we also accept horses, goats, sheep, pigs, cows, small caged animals and birds.

Four Foot Lodge is a family owned and operated business with 24/7 attendance and professional care for your pet(s).

Your pet(s) will get our individual attention for as long as it takes to make them feel comfortable, safe and happy while they stay with us.

We, Krista & Wilfred de Blauw, have been the owners of Four Foot Lodge since September 2008, after we moved from the Netherlands to New Zealand in the summer of 2007.

Krista has a wealth of experience as a fully qualified Veterinarian Nurse and has worked for 22 years in a Veterinary Practice for livestock and small animals in The Netherlands.
As a qualified dog-friendly groomer, with running her own Grooming Centre for 15 years, she has lots of experience in grooming a large variety of breeds.
Wilfred has been working with animals since he met Krista and has been working in and around the kennels for the past 8 years.
